Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted on Books and a Beat.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My Choice:
The Wheel of Osheim by Mark Lawrence.
Page 202:
Behind the queen came remnants of our once proud cavalry, dropping a goodly tonnage of dung for the footmen to trudge through. Start as you mean to go on, I say.
Book Blurb:
All the horrors of Hell stand between Snorri Ver Snagason and the rescue of his family, if indeed the dead can be rescued.
For Jalan Kendeth getting back out alive and with Loki’s Key is all that matters. Loki’s creation can open any lock, any door, and it may also be the key to Jal’s fortune back in the living world.
Jal plans to return to the three Ws that have been the core of his idle and debauched life: wine, women, and wagering. Fate however has other, larger, plans…
The Wheel of Osheim is turning ever faster and it will crack the world unless it’s stopped. When the end of all things looms, and there’s nowhere to run, even the worst coward must find new answers.
Jal and Snorri face many dangers – from the corpse-hordes of the Dead King to the many mirrors of the Lady Blue; but in the end, fast or slow, the Wheel of Osheim will exert its power.
In the end it’s win or die.
How cool is it that I’m currently reading this! It’s not out until June 2nd (UK). I’m not sure what my blog and me did to get a proper hardback version of this book to review but the karma gods must have been smiling down on me!
Go you for getting a HARDCOPY arc:). It sounds really full-on – I hope you’re enjoying it. You might also like my offering this week – it’s another good’un…

It’s not an actual ‘arc’ copy of thebook, it’s the finished copy there’ll be selling in the shops when it’s released but so cool to get one, was really chuffed and surprised. 🙂

I love that! Someone should put it on a pillow. I’ll put it on my TBR and look for it here in the States.

Can’t wait to see how this series winds up. It has been a long and winding road (lots of road, in fact), but I’m sure Mark Lawrence is going to end it in epic style.
