She shone like the brightest star,

No questioning she would fly so far,

But she kept the darkness locked away,

Pretending to shine each and every day,

She hid all her tears and cries,

Behind her made up eyes,

At passers-by she would always stop and smile,

They never knew she was living in denial,

Looking like a movie star beauty queen,

Her reality was anything but a dream,

Scared and Alone at night,

With no strength left to fight,

Her mask could finally crumble,

As her visage did stumble,

While no one thought she was a fake,

In the silence she could break,

Outside she was the epitome of a perfect life,

Inside it was all a lie.
