Through open eyes.

Through open eyes:

clouds-808748_1920

Through open eyes,

He said goodbye,

Time stood still,

As she slipped away,

Alone again

On this fateful day,

He saw her light,

It began to fade,

The colours once bright,

Turned to grey,

That final moment,

His whispered atonement,

With skin so cold,

Her story now told,

Through open eyes,

He watched her die.
