Through open eyes:
Through open eyes,
He said goodbye,
Time stood still,
As she slipped away,
Alone again
On this fateful day,
He saw her light,
It began to fade,
The colours once bright,
Turned to grey,
That final moment,
His whispered atonement,
With skin so cold,
Her story now told,
Through open eyes,
He watched her die.

I just saw this blog post and thought of your blog and poems. It’s a six word story challenge. I thought you might like it.
