The Friday Face-Off is a new meme created by Books by Proxy, where the idea is to compare the UK and US covers of a book with each week being a certain theme, this week’s theme is a cover featuring luggage!
“Pack up your troubles… and … leave”
For the theme this week I have chosen: Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett.

Cover B:

Tie between A & C for me. Funny thing is my copy doesn’t look like any of these. I feel cheated!

I like C the best. A would be my 2nd.

I have cover C and it’s my favourite!

Been reading these a few weeks now and I’m pretty sure this is the first time I’ve disagreed! I don’t know whether it’s because I grew up with C, but it’s definitely my favourite here. Paul Kirbys art will always be Discworld to me, so the more of it on the cover the better! A is just a slice.
On a completely different topic, B couldn’t be more of a stark contrast could it? When those more minimalist covers originally came out and I wanted the set… Now that I’m reminded of them I’m sure I much prefer my Paul Kirby covered originals.
Thanks for this, Drew. It’s good to start the day by being reminded of Mr Pratchett and his wonderful books 🙂

Have to agree B really is a complete contrast to the others. Your not the only one disagreeing this week most people are picking C as the winner. 😀

I like the simplicity of B to but preferred the fun aspect of the winner, tough theme this week though, I struggled for a book to pick! 😂

Have to say I’m not a fan of any of these covers. They’re a bit of an eye sore don’t you think? I guess A but it’s still sort of blinding. This is the kind of cover I would steer clear of if I saw it on Amazon.

The covers are what they are, they fit the fun and silly tone of the book.

I’ve never read a book by this author.

For me it was a ttie between A and C. I like it when there’s a lot going on on my fantasy book covers.
