Darkness Descends.

Darkness Descends:

window-1721057_640

Once again,

The darkness descends,

Lost in a reverie,

I’m drowning in memory,

The emptiness I try to hide,

I’m hurting on the inside,

The pain that’s buried within,

I’m alive, but it’s not living,

If I make it through another day,

Will I finally be OK,

Once again,

The darkness descends…….

  1. Very poignant indeed. The words associated me to what could be the backing track to this when thinking in the darkness…

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
    Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
    Still remains
    Within the sound of silence

Great post and thanks for sharing

    1. I was wondering where the misery-themed poems were as well. Apart from the horrible death of Fluffy, of course ;). But here our King of Misery strikes again, well done Drew! πŸ™‚
