Circus of Blood Poem

As those of you who also follow my good friend  Jill (Rant and Rave about Books) will know, she recently posted a newspaper article for Circus of Blood, a short horror story that she is writing for Halloween as a taster for the actual story, setting the tone and vibe for what’s still to come. If you think blood, gore, psychotic and crazy characters and carnage then you will have an idea of what’s next and you know, it’s all the good stuff! 🙂

The link to the post canbe found below:

Anyhow, to get you in the mood for the story, I have written a poem (that may or may not be featured in Jill’s story – the only way for you to find out is to follow her blog and read the forthcoming installments as they are posted this week).

Thoughts?? What do you think to the poem and the blood splattered image I created?? Are you now intrigued to read Jill’s story??

      1. Haha, no, but the scary clown face kept distracting me and I hate clowns!!! Your work goes perfectly well with the newspaper we got, don’t worry, you always manage to make a good job!

    1. Creepy Clowns rule even though the general consensus seems to be the opposite!😢

Let the mayhem begin, over to you Filly!😀

Maybe I shouldn’t have included blood splatters, maybe I should have changed the colour to white/cream that could have implied anything went amiss!😂

  1. The poem is awesome and I hate the clown. but I hate him for all of the right, terrifying reasons.. going to meander off now and try to shake that image. Thanks.. my nonhusband is away on business and that will be burned into my brain tonight. You sir, are a brat 😉

    1. It is I, Anne!! *makes spectacularly dramatic appearance two days later*
I’m actually drawing a blank here now because of the pressure! (like my husband last night). I did find a creepy porcelain clown doll in my attic while hammering a new floor in there by myself yesterday. Had to think of Chucky and how I forgot to bring my phone upstairs with me :’).

      1. I don’t know if I’ve ever literally denied it?? XD Or wait, no, I said I was still young and bendy. For an old spruce that is :’)

      2. I hear that a lot from other women who are aspiring to be of the same level of classiness as me *sigh*. You’ll get there dear 😉 😉

      3. Oi, didn’t I tell you I wasn’t into carpet munching :’). Yet Danielle and I can share a room for sure. And a bed. So we can both pass out in it (after having parked our wheeled walkers properly of course) XD

  2. I like it! Creepy clown included! The only change I would make personally, is to make the clown a part of the document by doing some overlays and bumpmaps and then some blood spatters over it in some parts. I am not sure about reading the story though, horror writing scares me. :O

      1. Yeah, creepy is the worst part! — and I’ve learned all my photo tricks (I use GIMP) on YouTube, gosh I love YouTube for learning new things. Anyway, if you ever get bored and want to learn new stuff, YouTube! 😀

      1. The poem was supposed to be what the Circus Ringmaster says at the start of the show, I created the graphic for Jill to use, not sure if she’s going to include it or not but we both agreed I should post it separately on my blog to try and garner some more interest in the story.😀

    1. Thanks, I thought the image was really good and the clown is psycho freaky, I did have to go back and redo the graphic though as I found later that I could add blood splatters and they add so much more to the graphic! 🙂

Yeah, Jill’s story is great, the second part is amazing. 🙂

      1. The blood spatter is a nice touch! I can’t stare at the clown too much though because it seems too real & like it can and possibly will re-surface somewhere in the deepest corners of my mind lol. I’m reading part 2 now…OOoO the anticipation as Luigi takes the stage 🙂
