Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted on Books and a Beat.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My Choice: Romeo and/or Juliet by Ryan North.
Page 411:
Romeo/you sneaks towards the ninja guards. You’ve never taken down ninjas before.
Onthe other hand, THEY’VE never taken down a Romeo before either, so it should be a fair fight.
Now that Romeo/you is moving into place, where should Juliet/you go?
-Send Juliet to join Romeo with the ninja guards: turn to 470.
-Send Juliet to th punk guards instead: turn to 452.
Page 425:
You leave Paris’s body in a dark corner. “There,” you say.
“You’re intered.”
You turn around and see Juliet in her tomb, lying peacefully. It’s crazy, she looks the same as she did when you saaw her two days ago.
She looks just like she’s sleeping. But you put your hand to her neck and there’s no pulse. She’s dead, Romeo.
-Kill yourself so you’ll be together forever: turn to 414.
-Cry over her, but let’s not suicide juuuust yet: turn to 406.
Book Blurb:
What if Romeo never met Juliet? What if Juliet got really buff instead of moping around the castle all day? What if they teamed up to take over Verona with robot suits?
In this New York Times bestselling version of Romeo and Juliet, you get to choose where the story goes. Glad you are feeling better a bit. Honey for the cough? Spoonfuls of raw honey is a natural method we use. And lots of tea!
