What a lovely surprise, unexpected book post!!!!! It’s always a nice treat to see the postman delivering, unless it’s bills or junk mail obviously but when he has a package and it’s book shaped well then, a woohoo is most definitely in order! 🙂
The lovely people at Head of Zeus have been kind enough to surprise me with this stunning looking beauty of a book released on 24th January 2017: Death’s Mistress (Sister of Darkness – The Nicci Chronicles Book 1) by Terry Goodkind.

Yay for book mail! I finally know what it’s like, lol! Very pretty book (damn I’m so superficial Book-wise), but I hope it is a good one. I’ve learned my lesson with pretty covers! 😫

Oh no, is he that bad? There’s two reviews on Goodreads, one 1 star and a 4 star, I’m not expecting much but hoping it’ll be a somewhat decent read.

It is a stunning cover. The author has a lot of naysayers though, it’ll be my first time reading him and I’m hoping for a decent read. 🙂

I am horrible about hauls and bookmail. I post my mail on my instagram at times, but never share any of it on here. I don’t know. Lazy haha. they have certainly chose the right “gentleman” to send that copy to. Enjoy!

I’ve read divisive things about Goodkind and his books, I’m expecting something more like traditional fantasy rather than grimdark but I’ve not read any of his work before, even though there are 17 Sword of Truth books out there and my only knowledge is from the cheesy legend of the seeker TV show from a few years ago.

Okay Legend of the Seeker was epic in the best kind of cheesy way haha! I binged that on Netflix 😉 I have a ton of his books I have been collecting at various places and have never cracked one, but I agree.. I believe more traditional. I am totally okay with that!

True, it was cheesy in the best way, kinda gutted when it was cancelled as it was just cheesy and fun which made for a nice change than all of the serious stuff.
