Book Post is always a joy when it arrives, be it surprise post or books you know that are coming. This book Red Sister post falls into the ‘knew it was coming‘ category but imagine my surprise when I found out that the author Mark Lawrence had signed and stamped the book!!!
While this might not be a big deal to a lot of you for me it is awesome as while I knew he had signed some ARC’s that he had sent out I never imagined that for me and my humble little blog that he would bother to sign the book but he did!
Red Sister (Book of the Ancestor #1) by Mark Lawrence is published by Harper Voyager in the UK (April 6th) and Ace (April 4th) in the US.

It is awesome isn’t it, really chuffed that he signed it to, mega! Ah, you are like Danielle then, venturing into Red Sister without reading any other previous Mark Lawrence books! 🙂

yea that was actually really nice of him! and yes, I guess I am like Danielle but no worries, I still plan on reading his other works. I’ve heard nothing but praises for Mark Lawrence from all of the SFF booktubers/bloggers I follow including yourself 😉 …I just couldn’t resist that synopsis, can you blame me? haha!

Nope, can’t blame you at all as it does sound great.😀 True, he is universally praised by most and it’s deserving praise to, he’s a great author.

Ha, at least I’ve read the other Mark Lawrence books unlike Danielle – hi Danielle!😉 It is awesome though, so stunned that he signed it to, didn’t expect that!

Brilliant! 🙂 Any giveaways or Netgalley’s of Red Sister I’ve come across are only open for USA and I’ve been frustrated to hell and back 😀 Anyway, no worries… I’ll get my mitts on it when it’s published. I look forward to your review 🙂

Love or Hate him Lawrence has always been good to his fan base. I once got a random email from him with a short story collection just because I had given positive reviews to some past works. Cool mail indeed.

Well sir.. I believe the phrase “Totes Jelly” is appropriate here.. or a simple Hell yeah! 😉 This is hands down the best bookmail I have seen. But why the hell are you picking me apart in this thread haha.. cut a girl some slack 😭 You know you are proud of my revent reading changes. I have returned to the big kids club 😂

Ha, let’s go with hell yeah, it’s far more manly than totes jelly!😂 and yes, you have returned to the big kids club!😀

Do I have to behave “manly” though? because I cannot and will not act like an adult.. that is sooo boring. I will read and try to write proper, but I refuse to act proper 😉 I am not that kind of lady haha.

There’s a difference between acting manly and acting adult, I’m certainly not an adult more a cynical brat!😂

Touché. Cynical is definitely acceptable. And I am told frequently that I am a major brat. According to certain sources.. I use my charms to have others “spoil” me bawhaha. But that source is the only one who actually spoils me.. so I think they are full of it 😉 Brats rule!

It is awesome, I knew he’d signed the books for some people after seeing a blogger post a picture on Facebook but I presumed he knew them and never thought I’d get a personalised copy.😀

You and Danielle crack me up. Omg! Lol!
That’s pretty awesome that it’s signed and stamped though. I’d be hopping around like a kid.

I have to read Mark Lawrence at some point soon, I don’t know why I haven’t yet (well, I do. Too many books!). He seems like a very nice and approachable guy and keeps a friendly relationship with his readers on Goodreads. It’s great that he signed this ARC for you!

He’s definitely a great author, seems to get better with every book. Alas, that is always the case, too many books and never enough time.
Yeah, Goodreads, Facebook and Twitter, he’s very fan orientated and comes across as a really nice guy, especially with how much he interacts with his fans.

Many fantasy authors seem to get better and better with every book, for example Brian Staveley. Which, of course, makes sense! But yes, I need to read Mark Lawrence…and many others!
