A Poem: Darkness Decides.

darknessdeci

When darkness decides,

All the anger, the hatred,

The sorrow will rise,

When darkness decides,

All the torment, the torture,

The pain makes you cry,

When darkness decides,

All the sadness, the hurting,

The eyes tell you why,

When darkness decides,

And the only way out,

Is to let go of life……

      1. I do understand that my friend. It took me many years to let go of some serious stuff. Not sure I fully have. I hope you rest and enjoy your weekend unplugged. Sending the kind of hugs that wont damage your bad buy rep haha 😉

      2. I did enjoy my break, thank you, was becoming jaded by blogging and needed the step back for a couple of days. Written a post on it, 3,700 words, God I can ramble!😂

Ha, my bad boy rep, I think secretly part of me wants to be the nice guy of blogging!😂

      1. That’s the beauty of writing isn’t it. It doesn’t make everything better, but it feels good to put a bit of your soul on some paper 😊 I hope you are feeling better 💜

      2. That is very true, I don’t really class myself as a poet as I only use a simple rhyming style and not all the fancy types there are but there’s something about expressing how you’re feeling and writing it down, it doesn’t make it any better but it’s constructive and when you read it it makes you think think.

  1. This… I think, of all your poems and how much I’ve liked them, this one takes No 1 spot. Short yet all is said and on a topic that a lot of minds process often…

I love this poem.. and I understand it… however, wagging my own tail here, a long time ago, I made darkness and misery my bitches! It’s strange how oppressive feelings can shatter lives and yet at the same time, make a mind thrive… it’s either give up, or scramble for survival… shut down or use the simmering emotions to create something beautiful! Not only do you create but you share as well… and that is the best!

    1. Thank you Liz.😀 Yeah, it’s quite short but any longer and I’d have been adding for the hell of it and what I wrote just seemed to get the feeling across really well.

Lol, wagging your own tail!😂 Yeah, I create, it’s cathartic to write down what you’re feeling rather than keeping it inside. I’m glad you managed to make darkness and misery your b#tches, most of the time I’m the same just at times the damn things come back and creep out!😂

      1. Perfect- it’s good to know when to stop writing as soon as you realize that the message you’re trying to put across, has been said.

Re wagging your own tail- isn’t this a saying or something? In Estonian it goes something like- well, who else will wag the dog’s tail other than the dog himself?’ so… self-praise for the win! 😀

Oh, the damn things to keep battling on, but it’s the beauty of humans I find- we can manage a whole damn lot emotionally and physically. We don’t even realize how much we can manage sometimes, but we do and I think a lot of the times we don’t give ourselves enough credit for overcoming the oppressive feelings… Quite honestly? Not to sound like a total eejit, but during my own emotional times of turmoil, I actually wrote pretty decent stuff… It’s like, my mind is unable to put emotion into anything I write when Im happy… strange… but- you keep on writing whenever you need to and we shall keep on reading and relating and supporting! 🙂

      2. Yeah, there’s a UK saying similar to that about self praise though I’m struggling to remember what the actual saying is at the moment!😂

Ha, I feel that, I can’t write poetry for sh#t when I’m happy, look what happened when I tried to write happy poetry, that damn rabbit Fluffy was born!😂

Thank you, reading, relating and supporting is always appreciated.😀

      4. Welll… I’m not entirely sure about the ‘anything’ part… would not want to get pinged with some weird images… but yeah, poems and drawings and flash fiction… damn it.. I really need to do this! 😀

      5. Lol, true, probably get some right weird stuff if you allowed anything to go! All of us are bad enough, just imagine what the crazies would come up with, if anything went! 😉 Oh well, the PC response would at least be amusing! 😂
