A Poem: Words Mean Nothing

words

Looking back,

I’ve come,

Come to finally realise,

I always,

Always fucking knew,

That you,

That you’d be the one to leave,

That you,

That you’d betray me,

I’m not the one,

The one who changed,

I stayed,

Stayed the fuck the same,

(You’re the one),

The one who lied,

(You’re the one),

The one who used,

(Your the one),

The one who hasn’t,

Hasn’t said goodbye,

You just forgot,

Forgot about me,

When you,

When you were alone,

And you wanted,

Wanted a fucking hand,

I was there,

There to help,

When you,

When you fell down,

I held you up,

I was someone,

Someone to lean on,

I gave you,

Gave you my strength,

My strength to make you stronger,

When you,

When you were lost,

And you needed guiding,

I was your light,

Your light in the dark,

Then I offered,

Offered you my trust,

Then I opened,

Opened up my heart,

I let you in (it wasn’t),

I was never,

Never good enough,

After you took,

Took what you needed,

You cast,

Cast me the fuck aside,

Looking back,

I’ve come,

Come to finally realise,

I always,

Always fucking knew,

It’s why,

Why I kept a part,

A part of me to myself,

That your words,

Your words meant nothing.

  1. Another great creation, Drew!
You totally should publish your poetry collection.. you have tons of poems and many people enjoy your poems… Think about it… and before you say it- no, you’re not bad at it. Yes, you’re great at it (emotion and all) and yes, you’re good enough! *fist bump*
