Behind the Blog: Meet the Blogger Series- Drew from The Tattooed Book Geek @SarcasticEnigma

I was on Clues and Reviews today for the meet the blogger series. Massive thanks for the opportunity and yes, as crazy as it sounds I was actually allowed onto someone else’s blog and for once and this is even crazier, I was polite and well mannered!😂

Clues and Reviews

Ever wonder about the person behind the blog?  I mentioned back in January (here) that I would be starting a Meet the Blogger series.  This series will feature some of my favourite bloggers as we go behind the scenes and have them answer the questions!

Next up is Drew from The Tattooed Book Geek

So excited to have Drew on Clues and Reviews today!  Drew brings some testosterone to this female-saturated book blogging world!  He is absolutely hilarious and his discussion posts are always riddled with sarcasm.  His honesty is a breath of fresh air!  He reads a lot of fantasy novels, which is completely outside my comfort zone, but, Drew, I promise, recommend one to me and I will be sure to read it!

Keep reading to see what Drew had to say when it was his turn in the “hot seat”

  1. Nice one Drew! 🙂
You deserve all the spotlight you can get and I was LOLing through the favorite books question cause I knew it was going to be all series and fantasy and I kind of knew some of what you were going to highlight for it 😀 Well done!

  2. Awesome post! 😀 I get what you mean about being a part of something with book blogging. One of the many reasons why I started book blogging too. Reading and enjoying books is seen as an odd thing these days, and I’m not 100% sure why. It’s nice to among our own people here on WP 😛
Also, I love how long your favourite books list is 😀

    1. Thank you.😀 Did you notice the lack of sarcasm and foul language in the post?! Certain people think I’m always sarcastic but as I was on someone else’s blog I was on my best behaviour.

Yeah, it perhaps sounds weird to people who don’t read or blog, but being part of the book blogging community is cool as it means you’re part of something and it is a pretty cool community, some asses but on the whole a decent bunch of people.

True, reading is seen as odd, I’m not really sure why either. With no sarcasm intended I’d say it’s because people class reading as boring and geeky. It’s not seen as being cool and lots class it as boring, gaming, cool, TV, cool, reading, boring, it’s stupid really.

Ha! Yeah, for someone who is a slow reader I certainly offered a long list of favourite books!😂

      1. Certain people? Hmm wonder who they could be? But yes, I did notice! 😀
Yeah, it’s an awesome community on here. I find blogging and chatting with other bloggers both gives me purpose and gives me something to look forward to each day 😀
Hmm I wonder if it’s something to do with the instant nature of everything in the 21st century? Life is so fast paced these days and given the choice, some people might choose a movie or TV show over a book because they can hear an entire story in no more than a couple of hours, while a book takes more time and effort? I feel my next podcast episode taking shape…

      2. Certain people who end up regularly in jail!😂

You could have a point about the instant nature, even a 10 episode series of 1 hour episodes (say, Game of Thrones) is quicker to watch the entire series than read the book.

Guess I’m just weird as I like TV shows, gaming and reading!😂

  3. Great interview Drew! A blog is more than perfect grammar and sentence structure, and I think it is probably harder to forget about that and let your personality show – and that is why your posts are so fun to read!

  4. Great interview and no swearing or sarcasm 😮 !!! Lol. I second what someone else said on interview post that you are everywhere and a pillar to the book blogging community…. I also believe that makes you oh just a little bit famous 😀 😉
