Happy Saturday everyone! 🙂 As I have had a productive week on the blog and posted each f’n day (a miracle). I thought that I’d do a weekly wrap-up post in case any of you missed the posts in the week as they are all top quality and deserve to be read, loved, cherished and nourished.
Sunday.
My post about author etiquette when dealing with bloggers. Obviously, it’s a polite and well-mannered post with no swearing and sarcasm included in it – I’m a gentleman and don’t swear! ‘)
A snippet:
Old MacDonald had a blog,
E-I-E-I-O,
And on his blog, there was a blogger,
E-I-E-I-O,
With a cunt fuck here,
And a cunt fuck there,
Here a cunt, there a fuck,
Everywhere a cunt fuck,
Old MacDonald had a blog,
E-I-E-I-O.
Monday.
I posted my review for The Fourth Monkey by J.D Barker, yes a thriller book which I loved! 🙂
Snippet:
I loved The Fourth Monkey and devoured it over this past weekend finding it to be a phenomenal and gripping read and that oh so stereotypical and eye rolling phrase a ‘page turner of a book‘.
4MK truly is a fantastic thriller and it’s a testament to how great the book is that someone who isn’t a fan of the genre was so fully engrossed by it! I can’t wait for the sequel and can definitely see 4MK being turned into a film!
Tuesday.
I was on the Blackwing by Ed McDonald blog tour with a quality guest post by the author.
I also posted volume 6 of my fun covers posts!
Wednesday.
I achieved 2,000 blog followers and wrote a thank you post. While I know that stats are irrelevant the fact that you all show me and my blog support is amazing and appreciated.
Thursday.
I posted my review for Age of Assassins by R.J Barker, an outstanding fantasy debut.
Snippet:
With Age of Assassins, Barker hasn’t written just a standard fantasy book he has also added elements of mystery, intrigue, sleuthing and espionage to make for an exceptional book that demands to be read.
Friday.
I posted my review for Lost Boy by Christina Henry a dark Peter Pan retelling.
Snippet:
With Lost Boy, Henry creates a fast-paced read and chilling journey that is full of dark overtures, vivid imagery, heartbreak, loss, betrayal, emotion and some surprising twists. Really pulling the reader into the story she is telling in her dark and sinister version of a classic.

The history of heavy metal brings us extraordinary stories of larger-than-life characters living to excess, from the household names of Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy, Bruce Dickinson and Metallica (SIT DOWN, LARS!), to the brutal notoriety of the underground Norwegian black metal scene and the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal. It is the story of a worldwide network of rabid fans escaping everyday mundanity through music, of cut-throat corporate arseholes ripping off those fans and the bands they worship to line their pockets. The expansive pantheon of heavy metal musicians includes junkies, Satanists and murderers, born-again Christians and teetotallers, stadium-touring billionaires and toilet-circuit journeymen.
Award-winning comedian and life-long heavy metal obsessive Andrew O’Neill has performed his History of Heavy Metal comedy show to a huge range of audiences, from the teenage metalheads of Download festival to the broadsheet-reading theatre-goers of the Edinburgh Fringe. Now, in his first book, he takes us on his own very personal and hilarious journey through the history of the music, the subculture, and the characters who shaped this most misunderstood genre of music.

You’ve been productive! (I don’t know why I added a ‘!’ like I was shocked or something – you’re way more productive than me anyway :P) You’re on fire! (metaphorically). It seems after your break you’ve rekindled your enjoyment for blogging 😀

Ha, I think it’s the first time since I started blogging that I’ve posted everyday which is why I thought I’d been productive and decided to do a wrap-up post. Doubt daily posting will happen again for a long time!😂
Gee, thanks for adding the ‘metaphorically’ after you’re on fire cos I thought you meant literally!😂😂😂

I started off posting everyday, but I usually stick with every other day now. It’s crazy how much time it can take to write a post, right!?
I thought I best add the ‘metaphorically’, just in case! I wouldn’t want to scare you into thinking you were literally on fire!

I often don’t post every other day, it’s usually just when I want.😂
Gee, yeah, I’m that dumb I’d have thought that I was really on fire, yeah, I smell smoke, oh that’s right, it’s me on fire!😂😂😂
Yeah, I agree, at times writing up a post can take ages!

Drew, which bands are you into, metal wise? Im not gonna start a whole “this is the shit!” Discussion, I am just generaly curious into hearing peoples’ different views on the multimilions of subgenres of Metal…

My favourite bands are Flaw, Any Given Day, Tremonti, FFDP, Disturbed, Stonesour and Godsmack, all bands similar to that though and I do like older stuff too like Metallica, Guns N Roses and Def Leppard.
