Music Monday: Happy? by Mudvayne

Welcome once again to Music Monday where I offer you all a song that I really like. If anyone wants to join in then please feel free to have a go! πŸ™‚

Mudvayne: Happy?

In this hole
That is me
The dead are rolling over
In this hole
Dirt shovelled over shoulders

I feel it in me
So overwhelmed
Oh, this pressured center rising
My life overturned
Unfair the despair
All these scars keep ripping open

Peel me from the skin
Tear me from the rind
Does it make you happy now?

Tear meat from the bone
Tear me from myself
Are you feeling happy now?

In this hole
That is me
A life that’s growing feeble
In this hole
So limiting
The sun has set; all darkens

Buried underneath
Hands slip off the wheel
Internal path-way to contention

Taken from the album: Lost and Found (2005).

    1. Yeah, Mudvayne are no more. Happy is normal Mudvayne, they were rather crazy when they first appeared, I’d suggest looking at the video for Dig by them, probably won’t understand much of what he’s saying apart from dig but it’s funny how they dress!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  1. I do like this song, but my favorite by them is “Not Falling.” I haven’t listened to them for quite some time though. It’s hard to believe that this band originated only a few hours from where I grew up and I still remember first learning about them in my late teens. Great pick, Drew! ❀

  2. I’m pretty sure it’s on their second album and yeah that song is on there too I think? I don’t listen to them much, but I did when I was younger. This was a nice refresh for me! I don’t listen to much heavy stuff anymore, just Pantera and bands like that. I do miss it!
