A Poem: Embers

Embers

I wish I could wash away my sins,

Clean the slate,

Learn to begin again,

I find myself alone,

My flame turned to embers,

Forgotten,

Destined to remain,

A faint echo,

Not even a memory,

A soul lost forever………..

  1. This is a short one for you, but it’s straight to the point. As with the first comment on this post, I agree…embers can be stoked and turned back into flames (and not forgetting that even if the embers die out, you can be reborn from the ashes like a phoenix!) Beautiful piece! (I said it, okay?)
