Top Ten Tuesday: New to you Authors in 2017.

Top TenTuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is: New to you Authors in 2017.

In no particular order, I will list the author and the book of theirs that I read:

  1. Anna Stephens and her book: Godblind.
  2. Ezekiel Boone and his books: The Hatching and Skitter.
  3. Kevin Hearne and his book: A Plague of Giants )Seven Kennings #1).
  4. Anna Smith-Spark and her book: The Court of Broken Knives (Empires of Dust #1).
  5. Jamie Sawyer and his book: The Eternity War: Pariah.
  6. Scott Oden and his book: A Gathering of Ravens.
  7. Melissa Caruso and her book: The Tethered Mage (Swords and Fire #1).
  8. Dale Lucas and his book: The Fifth Ward: First Watch.
  9. Neil Gaiman and his book: Norse Mythology.
  10. Deborah A. Wolf and her book: The Dragon’s Legacy (The Dragon’s Legacy #1).

Reviews for all the books are linked to the book names!

For those who follow my blog you might be wondering at the glaring omission of certain books from 2017. Well, those are included in my best of 2017 post (which should be going live on Thursday) and as such, I decided to omit them from this post and used the places for other authors and books that while amazing just failed to reach my top ten of the year. 🙂

    1. It’s out in the US before the UK.😞 I think I preferred The Hatching to Skitter but both are great and I can’t wait to find out what was coming down the stairs at the end!😂🕷️🕸️

And, of course, these books are the perfect excuse to use lots of spider gifs!😂

He’s also got another book out later in the year called The Mansion.👌📚

      1. Oh! I’ll have to look into that one!! I think the book is out in Canada even earlier than in the US because the author is Canadian so I MAJOR luck out. I also liked The Hatching better but I think because I was so shocked at what I was reading. I did love the ending of Skitter!! I’ll be curious to see how he keeps it up for Book 3.

  1. I’ve only read one book by Neil Gaiman and really enjoyed it. I’ve heard good things about Norse Mythology but I haven’t had a chance to pick it up yet. I hope you can read more of these authors this year!

  2. Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite authors 🙂 He is actually coming to Ohio in March! Keep your fingers crossed I get tickets when they go on sale on Monday. I have yet to read Norse, even though a signed copy is sitting on my shelf right now ((facepalm))

  3. Neil Gaiman was also a new discovery for me in 2017. Although I went ahead and read American Gods instead of Norse Mythology hahah Looking forward to Anna-Smith Spark’s sequel and hopefully I’ll get used to her writing style to enjoy her stories more!
