Friday Face-Off February 2nd: a Psychedelic cover.

face off

The Friday Face-Off is a meme originally created by Books by Proxy and now hosted over at Lynn’s Books. The idea is to compare the different covers of a book with each week being a certain theme.

This weeks theme is: “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” – a Psychedelic cover.

My choice is:

Jakob’s Colours by Lindsay Hawdon.

I really liked a couple of these covers and feel that they embody the book perfectly (the colours play a large role in the story, it’s a fantastic book and if you haven’t read it then I urge you to check out my review) but the winning cover for me is:

And it fits the theme too! Awesome!

  1. Not much of a difference between the first and fourth cover… Lol But the differences are the quotes on the cover, and that’s actually what makes me like the fourth cover best too 🙂

Need to give a shout out to the last cover though: I love any cover that has snow feel to it.

  2. I really like the black/blue/white colour themed cover! But maybe that’s because it makes me feel patriotic 😀 haha… your choice is the best one for the psychedelic theme though, agreed! 🙂

  3. I had to laugh at the Austin Powers gif xD I hadn’t heard of this title before, but I’m definitely going to add it to my TBR. I like the cover you picked! Although I like the one in the right upper corner as well, mostly because I love simple, bright colors. But yours fits the theme better. 😉
