My latest trio of books from awesome publishers.
Hunted (The Voices Book 2) by G X Todd.
Published by Headline on May 31st, 2018.
I received an ARC of this and after loving Defender (the first book in the series, it made my Top Ten Books of 2017 list) I’ve finished this, will be posting my review tomorrow (hopefully and if I write it) and I absolutely loved it!
The birds are flying. The birds are flocking. The birds sense the red skies are coming.
One man is driven by an inner voice that isn’t his – this Other is chewing at his sanity like a jackal with a bone and has one purpose.
To find the voice hiding in the girl.
She has no one to defend her now.
But in an inn by the sea, a boy with no tongue and no voice gathers his warriors. Albus must find the girl, Lacey . . . before the Other does.
And finish the work his sister Ruby began.
Hunted is the second book in the acclaimed Voices series, where the battle between Good and Evil holds you in its vice-like grip.
The Coffin Path by Katherine Clements.

I saw this on bookbridgr and thought it sounded really good. I’m hoping for a really creepy ghost story so fingers crossed. 🙂 My Mother, Momma TTBG has decided that she is reading this and according to her (I admit she does on occasion have a halfway decent taste in books) it is good!
Maybe you’ve heard tales about Scarcross Hall, the house on the old coffin path that winds from village to moor top. They say there’s something up here, something evil.
Mercy Booth isn’t afraid. The moors and Scarcross are her home and lifeblood. But, beneath her certainty, small things are beginning to trouble her. Three ancient coins missing from her father’s study, the shadowy figure out by the gatepost, an unshakeable sense that someone is watching.
When a stranger appears seeking work, Mercy reluctantly takes him in. As their stories entwine, this man will change everything. She just can’t see it yet.
The Night Lies Bleeding (Claw 5) by M. D. Lachlan.

So, I haven’t read any of the previous books! I know! And I am going to read the last book in the series, yeah, I can hear you groaning! It’s not something that I usually do so I am hoping that I will be able to pick up the story and enjoy it. The blurb enticed me, Norse myths and The Third Reich in WW II, awesome!
The world is at war again. London is suffering from the German Blitz. For one immortal werewolf, the war means little. He knows he will soon have to give up his identity once more, begin a new life. Before the wolf emerges.
But a chance conversation leads him to the scene of a gruesome murder, and the realisation that another war is being fought. The runes want to be together, and the when they are the wolf’s story will end.
And in Germany, one weak-willed doctor finds himself caught up in the Third Reich’s fascination with the occult and the Norse myths. They believe that the runes will bring them power, and wish to abuse them for their own ends.
And if they succeed, Ragnarok will come.
And as the book is set in Germany, here is Germany’s finest Rammstein and their song Sonne:
