My blog posts for the past week. If you missed any of them then please feel free to check them out. πŸ™‚

Monday.

On Monday I posted a Music Monday featuring Always by Saliva from their classic 2002 album Back into your System.Β

MusicMonday

It’s a great song, a real rocking tune and it was the theme song for the WWE Survivor Series way back in 2002 which featured the very first Elimination Chamber match that hbk won (yeah, I know, I’m a nerd to remember that).

Thursday.

On Thursday I posted my review for Hunted (The Voices Book 2) by G X Todd. I absolutely loved the book! πŸ™‚

A review snippet:

I said in my review for Defender that it was a β€˜modern classicβ€˜ and an β€˜outstanding additionβ€˜ to the post-apocalyptic genre and with Hunted which is an even better book than its predecessor Todd has firmly cemented both that belief and my love for this series. Defender is a modern classic and Hunted is too. This series is a must-read, remarkable and worthy of being heralded as something special.

Hunted, guaranteed is destined to be one of the top books released this year. The only negative I have is that I’m posting this review in February and the official release date isn’t until the end of May! That’s plenty of time for all of you to catch-up on the series read Defender and then pre-order Hunted!

For me, sigh, I already want the next one!

Friday.

On Friday I posted an interview with the debut indie fantasy author M. Almelk, writer of The Fallen Kind Vol. I: Ghosts of Nunchi.

I think it’s a pretty cool interview by M. Almelk. It’s also the first interview I have done in over a year so any thoughts on the questions I asked would be appreciated. πŸ™‚

Blogging News.

In blogging news. I am generally not one to blow my own trumpet, toot my horn or even polish my halo and I often think that my blog and my reviews suck (not in the good way either, sniggers, c’mon, a bit of smut never hurt anyone).Β Β

But, I received an e-mail that I had been selected as one of the Top 100 UK Book Blogs by Feedspot. Number 24, not even 98, 99 or 100 but quite high on the list (shocker, I know). It’s an RSS reader and updated weekly.

It probably won’t happen ever again, it’s only for a week but quite frankly I will accept it for a day or even an hour. With the vast amount of fantastic blogs that are out there and who upload far better content than me it’s pretty cool.

Non-conformist bloggers for the win! πŸ™‚

Currently reading.

Blood of Assassins (The Wounded Kingdom Book 2) by R. J Barker (yes, it’s the book I got quoted in).

The king is dead, long live the king…

The assassin Girton Club-foot and his master have returned to Maniyadoc in hope of finding sanctuary, but death, as always, dogs Girton’s heels.

The place he knew no longer exists. War rages across Maniyadoc, with three kings claiming the same crown – and one of them is Girton’s old friend Rufra. Girton finds himself hurrying to uncover a plot to murder Rufra on what should be the day of the king’s greatest victory. But while Girton deals with threats inside and outside Rufra’s war encampment, he can’t help wondering if his greatest enemy hides beneath his own skin.

Currently playing.

I picked up Final Fantasy XV cheap on the PS4 and I’m absolutely loving it. πŸ™‚
