A great week of posts on my blog this week! 🙂
Sunday.
On Sunday I wrote some original content about why reviews seem to be an unpopular type of blog post.

I featured Die Alone by Light The Torch as my Music Monday song. It’s a cracking good tune for rock and metal fans!

I reviewed Ragdoll by Daniel Cole.
A review snippet:
Since its release last year I’ve seen so much praise for Ragdoll and now after finishing it all I can say is, firstly, it is fully deserving of all the praise that it has received and secondly, fuck me (obviously not literally unless you ask me really nicely) this book is good…..really damn good!
Ragdoll is the debut book from Cole which I find hard to believe as it is such an accomplished read that I devoured, it is the equivalent of crack, a potent new strain of book crack that kept luring me back with its addictive qualities.

I took part in the Blog Tour for Vicious Rumer by Joshua Winning with a guest post by Joshua on what he learnt from crowdfunding his book.

I reviewed Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero.
A review snippet:
The name of the book ‘Meddling Kids‘ is the phrase that the villains in Scooby-Doo used to use after being caught and unmasked by the gang. Meddling Kids is a homage and a love letter to those older day classic cartoons and children’s detective clubs mixed with a tinge of horror.
Meddling Kids wears those labels like a badge of honour exuding a sense of nostalgia, mystery and adventure from within the pages and is a tongue in cheek fun-filled romp.

I was honoured to learn that I had been nominated for the Funniest Blogger Award at the Annual Bloggers Bash Awards. Awesome, right!!! 🙂 If any of you would like to vote for me then please, all it takes is a couple of clicks, simple as that and I would greatly appreciate any support that you can find it in your hearts to offer. 🙂
As such, I wrote a campaign/election speech post.
A post snippet:
A vote for me is a vote for those of you who have ever doubted your blogging ability and those who have ever thought that they and their blog aren’t good enough! It is a vote for the outcasts, the loners, the losers, the freaks, the geeks, the nerds, the crazy, the insane, the deranged, the lost, the broken and the awesome!
How has your blogging week been?? Reading anything good??
Currently reading: Ararat by Christopher Golden.
Meryam and Adam take risks for a living. But neither is prepared for what lies in the legendary heights of Mount Ararat, Turkey.
First to reach a massive cave revealed by an avalanche, they discover the hole in the mountain’s heart is really an ancient ship, buried in time. A relic that some fervently believe is Noah’s Ark.
Deep in its recesses stands a coffin inscribed with mysterious symbols that no one in their team of scholars, archaeologists and filmmakers can identify. Inside is a twisted, horned cadaver. Outside a storm threatens to break.
As terror begins to infiltrate their every thought, is it the raging blizzard that chases them down the mountain – or something far worse?

Btw what was the over all thought about reviews not being as popular on blogs compared to other posts?

General consensus was that I am right, shocker, huh! A couple said that they get about the same stats for reviews and other posts but most agree that personal posts, discussion, etc get more traffic.

Congratulations on your nomination, great news. My posts are mainly all reviews, so I’m over to read your Monday post about reviews now. Good luck with the votes.

Great week for you! I am sorry I did not leave as many comments as normal, but I am literally soooo behind after being ill. I just wanted to make sure I was able to read all of your posts while online. My eyesight and tremors are still throwing me off. Hope you had a nice weekend!

It was, surprisingly.👍👌 Thank you and no worries. I suck at commenting at the best of times so I totally understand with being behind.😀

I’m still journeying through the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. I’m reading The Wind Through the Keyhole. It is a stand-alone book that comes between the fourth and fifth book of the book series. I read a book about Ararat and Noah’s Ark. It was by one of the authors of the Left Behind series. It was really good. I have recommended the book you’re reading to Overdrive. Hopefully, they will get it.
