A Poem: Gasoline. #poem #poetry #poet #blogger #bloggers #blog #blogpost #blogs

Gasoline

The trust that was built,
Shattered by your guilt,
Breaking foundations,
Repeating conversations,
Thoughts in my head,
Words remembered,
Hopes left unsaid,
You wrote forever,
You lied,
Seems this love was never,

If love was meant to die,
Should I ask God why?
In our final scene,
Burn my memories with gasoline,

I ran so far away,
Crying for each lost and lonely day,
All my hopes and dreams,
Turned to nightmares,
Filled with silent screams,
Drowning in my fears,
I sailed my river of tears,
I wore my heart on my sleeve,
Scars carved open,
I still fucking bleed,

If love was meant to die,
Should I ask God why?
In our final scene,
Burn my memories with gasoline,

BURN (light the match),
BURN (ignite the flame),
BURN (set the world aflame),
BURN (my fucking shame),

If love was meant to die,
Should I ask God why?
In our final scene,
Burn my memories,
Burn my memories…
……with gasoline…
….GASOLINE….
