Four new books that I have received from publishers.

Yeah, definitely not my usual type of reading material, not sure when I will get to it, it sounds interesting but I’m not sure if it’s for me or even why I was sent it! lol

Wrath of Empire (Gods of Blood and Powder Book 2) by Brian McClellan.

I have read many good things about McClellan’s work both his Powder Mage trilogy and Sins of Empire, the first book in this series but I haven’t gotten around to reading any of his books yet myself. You all know how it is, too many books and authors and never enough time. I’m certainly intrigued by this one but it is the second book in the series and as I haven’t read the first I will probably shelve it for now until I get chance to pick up and read the first book first.

The country is in turmoil. With the capital city occupied, half a million refugees are on the march, looking for safety on the frontier, accompanied by Lady Flint’s soldiers. But escaping war is never easy, and soon the battle may find them, whether they are prepared or not.

Back in the capital, Michel Bravis smuggles even more refugees out of the city. But internal forces are working against him. With enemies on all sides, Michael may be forced to find help with the very occupiers he’s trying to undermine.

A Sacred Storm (The Wanderer Chronicles Book 2) by Theodore Brun.

I really enjoyed the first book A Mighty Dawn when I read it last year and so, I am very eager to continue with the story in this second book. I also got quoted in the press release and received a signed copy of the book, how cool! 🙂

Not a book but my recent game acquisition God of War on the PS4. One of my favourite gaming franchises makes a welcome return. 🙂
