The Friday Face-Off is a meme created by Books by Proxy with a current list of themes to be found over at Lynn’s Books. The idea is to compare the different covers of a book with each week being a certain theme.
This weeks theme is: “raining cats and dogs” – a cover featuring a stormy sky.

Blackwing (Raven’s Mark #1) by Ed McDonald.
The Winner:
A tough choice this week as I really like the US cover (it’s the first cover pictured, the one with the white writing), the UK cover (it’s the second cover pictured with the black, grey and purple colouring) and the French cover too (the final cover pictured with the huge raven and the lone character walking).
Ultimately, whilst I think the French cover is magnificent! I’m going to go with the UK cover, there’s just something about the colour scheme that looks really smart and I love the whole aesthetic of the cover.

They’re all really great. If I had to choose one, I think I’d go the third one, with the yellow title running vertically. Really pops out. The matching eye is a nice touch, too.

Tough choice but I’m going with the French cover as I love the sunset colour.

I think i like the last orange coloured one the most. But maybe just cuz i’m in a summer mood 😀
