Blogging achievement unlocked! 🙂

Some people don’t like to toot their horn or blow their own trumpet, they see it as bragging and making out that they are better than others, I say what utter crap and bullshit to that! I am quite happy to toot my own horn, blow my own trumpet, polish my own halo and brag about my blogging accomplishments!

Conceited on my part? No, and anyone who thinks it is and I am can fuck right off, I don’t want or need your negative BS over something that I never thought would happen!

I understand why some people don’t want to toot their own horn and honestly, I respect that. Afterall we don’t blog for acknowledgement, no, we blog for our love of books and to spread that love of the books that we enjoy but! But! If we should somehow get acknowledged for what we do then what is the harm in that?!?! There is none! And, there is no reason that we shouldn’t celebrate our successes.

Blogging can be hard and at times thankless, most of us will have struggled with a blogging slump at one time or another and when something good happens to your blog it is a nice little reminder and incentive that what you do, no matter how small your following matters.

So! I got quoted on the back cover of a book! How fucking cool is that! I mean, me, I suck at blogging, my blog is shit, I’m a bad influence (sup cunt), a blogging nobody and I am also someone who thinks that every review and post that they write is crap which is one of the reasons why I like to look on the bright side and shout about it when something good happens to my little blog.

Really, if you are like me and doubt the quality of your reviews then look at it this way……the fact that you doubt the quality shows that you care about them and what you write.

And, even if it is giving my blog a bit of promotion, it is still promoting the book too! And really, no-one cares who is on the cover, quoted inside, etc apart from the blogger it happens to, no, to them it is a wonderful thing and even if no-one else cares they do, I care that it has happened to me, it made me smile today and that is a good thing! 🙂

So, the book in question, which I received in the post today is:
