Friday Face-Off – June 29th 2018: a cover that is predominantly red. #BookBlogger #BookBloggers #BookCovers #Books #Blogger

face off

The Friday Face-Off is a meme created by Books by Proxy with a current list of themes to be found over at Lynn’s Books. The idea is to compare the different covers of a book with each week being a certain theme.

This weeks theme is: “Lips as red as the rose” – a cover that is predominantly red.

Before my choice of book for the meme and as I have such a fantastic taste in music here is the music video for Let Go by Red

See, the theme for the week is a cover that is predominantly red and the band is called Red so it fits in with the meme! 🙂

My choice.

The Outsider by Stephen King.

And the winner:

I really don’t like the cover with the red background which is the UK one, I’m not being very patriotic and supporting my country, sorry, the one with the white background and blue in the design is the German cover and it is pretty cool but for me, the winner has to be the US cover. There is just something about the black and white colour scheme with the author name in gold and the creepy red eyes on the figure that is very appealing and makes for a stunning looking cover.

Thoughts?? Agree?? Disagree?? Have you read the book and is it worth getting??

      1. Yes I agree about the endings. They are often terrible. Under the Dome is a fantastic example of this. I loved the book and was extremely engrossed in the mystery of it all. The ending was awful and did not do the rest of it justice. Happy weekend!
