Friday Face-Off – July 27th 2018: a Steampunk cover. #BookBloggers #BookBlogger #BookBlog #BookCovers #Books #Blogger

face off

The Friday Face-Off is a meme created by Books by Proxy with a current list of themes to be found over at Lynn’s Books. The idea is to compare the different covers of a book with each week being a certain theme.

This weeks theme is: “I saw huge buildings rise up faint and fair, and pass like dreams.”  – a cover that is steampunk.

My choice:

Infernal Devices (Infernal Devices #1) by K.W. Jeter.

And the winner:

WWE’s own steampunk inspired Becky Lynch!

No, sadly not, I jest, I like the red and white coloured cover with the fob watch but for me, this week, this cover is my winner as I prefer the overall design and colour scheme:

  1. I like that one the best too, but the one on the top left has a kind of nostalgic charm. As far as steampunk goes, would you recommend this one? I’ve still never found a steampunk novel that I wasn’t meh about, and I really want to!

    1. I haven’t read it!😂😂😂 I’ve not read any real Steampunk and had to Google books to fit the theme, saw the cover I chose as my favourite and chose this book. From the reviews I saw when getting the covers of Goodreads though they weren’t very favourable.
