Waiting on Wednesday: Crowfall (The Raven’s Mark #3) by Ed McDonald. #Crowfall #Grimdark #Fantasy #BookBlogger #BookBloggers #BookBlog #Book #Books #Blogger #Bloggers

wow

Waiting On Wednesday was a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine. Each Wednesday you got to highlight a book that you were really looking forward to. Unfortunately, the original creator is no longer able to host the meme and it has now linked up with Can’t Wait Wednesday over at Wishful Endings.

This week I’ve chosen:

Crowfall (The Raven’s Mark #3) by Ed McDonald.

A sorceress cataclysm has hit the Range, the final defensive line between the Republic and the immortal Deep Kings.

Tormenting red rains sweep the land, new monstrosities feed on fear in the darkness, and the power of the Nameless, the gods who protect the Republic, lies broken. The Blackwing captains who serve them are being picked off one by one, and even immortals have learned what it means to die. Meanwhile the Deep Kings have only grown stronger, and are poised to deliver a blow that will finally end the war.

Ryhalt Galharrow stands apart from it all.

He has been deeper into the wasteland known as the Misery than ever before. It has grown within him – changed him – but all power comes with a price, and now the ghosts of his past, formerly confined to the Misery, walk with him everywhere.

They will even follow him, and the few surviving Blackwing captains, on one final mission into the darkness.

Crowfall is published in the UK by Gollancz on June 13th, 2019.

Crowfall is one of my (as it will be for many other fantasy fans) most anticipated books of 2019. The Raven’s Mark is such a fantastic strilogy that McDonald has created. I absolutely loved both the previous two books, Blackwing and Ravencry and I have high hopes that this will be a killer read too.

I’d just like to mention the cover too, I mean, wow! If we could just take a moment to admire it, it is stunning and Dan Smith over at BionicGraphics has absolutely nailed the design and the artwork, it is sublime! All three covers in The Raven’s Mark trilogy are fantastic, just amazing.
