wow new

Waiting On Wednesday was a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine. Each Wednesday you got to highlight a book that you were really looking forward to. Unfortunately, the original creator is no longer able to host the meme and it has now linked up with Can’t Wait Wednesday over at Wishful Endings.

This week I’ve chosen:

A Book of Bones (A Charlie Parker Thriller: 17) by John Connolly.

bones

He is our best hope.

He is our last hope.

On a lonely moor in the northeast of England, the body of a young woman is discovered near the site of a vanished church. In the south, a girl lies buried beneath a Saxon mound. To the southeast, the ruins of a priory hide a human skull.

Each is a sacrifice, a summons.

And something in the shadows has heard the call.

But another is coming: Parker the hunter, the avenger. Parker’s mission takes him from Maine to the deserts of the Mexican border; from the canals of Amsterdam to the streets of London – he will track those who would cast this world into darkness.

Parker fears no evil.

But evil fears him . . .

I’m late to this series, very late as I only started reading it with the previous book, The Women in the Woods but, I loved it! You can find my review !!HERE!! It ticked all of the boxes that I love in thrillers and now that I have arrived at the Parker party (all the cool kids arrive late to a party) I’m eager to continue on the dark journey that I have now started.

I love the cover, the stained glass church window with the blue devil looks sweet and holds relevance to the story too!

A Book of Bones is released on April 18th, 2019 by Hodder & Stoughton.
