Inside and Out Book Tag. #BookBlogger #BookBloggers #Blogger #Bloggers

iotag

I saw this on Book Tag on Don Jimmy Reviews and I thought that I’d give it a go. Something a bit different, something a bit fun for once.

1. Inside flap/Back of the book summaries: Too much info? Or not enough?

Doesn’t bother me. From what I’m aware it is often just the blurb that is on Amazon and Goodreads anyway and instead of being on the back of the book it’s on the inside flap. In recent memory, Priest of Lies, Crowfall (which I still really need to read) and The Whisper Man all have quotes on the back cover and the blurb on the interior front flap.

2. New book: What form do you want it in? Be honest: Audiobook, E-Book, Paperback, or Hardcover?

What form do I want it in???🤔 Well…it’s a good job that the question mentions a new book in it. Otherwise, some people, obviously not a gentleman blogger like myself but there are lots of naughty boys and saucy minx bloggers out there who might well have misconstrued the question and answered with things like doggy, reverse cowgirl, the sideways bookmark and the back alley ARC dealer!

I do like a nice hardcover.

3. Scribble while you read? Do you like to write in your books, take notes, make comments, or do you keep your books clean clean clean?

I write in my books. Usually things like ‘no, no, no‘ and ‘wrong‘ and ‘seriously‘ and ‘what the fuck‘ but, also, I like to scribble out various words and replace them with better filthier words.😂

4. Does it matter to you whether the author is male or female when you’re deciding on a book? What if you’re unsure of the author’s gender?

If I am unsure of the author’s gender then I send them a DM through twitter asking for a picture of their bits!😮😲😂😜 I’ll get sent a picture of a nice meaty sausage, or, possibly, where some are concerned a chipolata, or, a nice pair of melons and then I’ll know if the author is either a dude or a chica, sorted.😂

Obviously, I’m joking! If the book isn’t written by a rainbow shitting unicorn then I won’t read it!

Seriously, it is 2019! If anyone is bothered whether an author is male or female then, maybe you need to take a long hard look at yourself.

Side note: I’ve just realised that any vegetarians reading this post might have been offended by the sausages bit. I apologise, if you do have an aversion to meat and don’t like chowing down on sausage then I’m sure that the author would be willing to send you a picture of their banana and plums instead.

Then! Who knows! You might even get a picture of a banana and a pair of melons!

5. Ever read ahead? or have you ever read the last page way before you got there?

Hell no I have never read the last page before I got there!🙄 I do tend to check how many pages are in the book though.

6. Organized bookshelves, or outrageous bookshelves?

My piles of books are in what I’m gonna class as a ‘creatively chaotic abstract mess‘. In other words, too many books and not enough room!😂

7. Have you ever bought a book based on the cover (alone)?

Yes, of course. Just the other day I purchased the book seen below as the cover called to me! I mean, look at the detail, the light grey, the contrasting white writing, the time, the effort that has gone into creating the masterpiece! Not to mention the title ‘The Book‘ and the author name ‘by an author‘ so mysterious! It was a bargain at only £69!

8. Take it outside to read, or stay in?

I will take it wherever I can get it if it is being offered!😲😮😜😂

Oh! I didn’t see ‘to read‘ in the question, my bad, my mistake, sincere apologies for the filth! I prefer to stay in and read, either on the sofa in my corner in the living room or, on the sofa in the conservatory with my ‘not-my-cat‘ cat sat on my lap.

I’m not tagging anyone as I suck (not in that way) at doing tags myself but if anyone sees the tag and wants to do it then link to this post and I’ll check out your answers. 🙂

  1. Great post Drew – made me chuckle! Fun tag too – I might give it a go myself.

I actually DO sometimes write in books but only if I’m making notes for academic purposes – which barely counts, right? (I keep telling myself this but I know in reality I’m probably going to some sort of special bookish hell set aside for reprobates like me…I turn down the corners of pages to mark my place too. I’m a monster…)

  2. 😀 😀 😀
I thought this would get dirty from question 1. I felt a little misled because I was like “Aww, I guess not.” Then your answer to question 2 came along. Lol! Lol!!

    1. Erm….are you laughing at my serious answers to this tag?😒🙄🤔😲😮 Talk about disrespectful and I thought that you of all people would understand commenting on a blog post and being respectful.😂😂😂

Yes, I apologised to the vegetarians, that’s called being respectful porngana.😂

Oh yes, I like throwing that c word out. It is my second favourite c word to use.😜

Awesome, I will look forward to seeing your respectful answers.😂
