Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted on Books and a Beat.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Knot stood. He couldn’t take her craziness. Not after what she just did..
“You need to level with me,” he said, walking towards her. Vampire or not, he needed to know. “The other night, in Brynne. I heard you talking with someone, right before I came into our room. You were talking about me. Who were you talking to?”
The girl looked at him, the humor gone from her face.
“Look, I’m sorry if I caught you off guard. I just wanted to see what these fighting skills you’re always talking about were like firsthand. No need to get in a knot about it.” Her grin returned. “Ha! Get it? Your___”
Book Blurb:
Stuck with arrows and close to death, a man is pulled from the icy waters of the Gulf of Nahl. Winter, a seemingly quiet young fisherman’s daughter, harbours a secret addiction that threatens to destroy her. A young priestess, Cinzia, must face a long journey home to protect her church from rebellion. A rebellion sparked by her sister.
Three characters on different paths will be brought together by fate on one thrilling and perilous adventure.
Sounds like an interesting story. It is also new to me. My teaser this week comes from a soon-to-be-released fantasy – Magic Bitter, Magic Sweet by Charlie N. Holmberg. Happy reading!

This sounds fascinating – are you enjoying it? Is it as grimdark as it looks? Thank you for visiting my site earlier.

It isn’t very Grimdark, no where near the standards of Lawrence and Abercrombie Grimdark anyway, not to much gore and hardly any swearing. Being honest, I didn’t enjoy the start of the book and it took me a while to get into but now I have I’m really enjoying it. 😊

Thank you for that! It’s sometimes difficult to judge exactly where a book is positioned. I like the look of this one:)

I just checked Amazon out of curiosity and it’s the same cover. I’m shocked! I thought for sure it would be something hideous.
