The Friday Face-Off is a meme originally created by Books by Proxy, where the idea is to compare the different covers of a book with each week being a certain theme.
I haven’t done a Face-Off post in a while with creating my own new Friday feature 200 Words or Less, but the Face-Off is a meme that I have always enjoyed perusing on other blogs and I thought that I would partake once again myself this week.
This weeks theme is: Car “Drivin’ along in my automobile“ and I have chosen:
NOS4R2 by Joe Hill.
Cover D:
I really like the overall colour scheme and design of the cover. But, I feel that cover B deserves a mention to, how cool are the red baubles on the wreath that have skulls on them!!! 🙂
Thoughts?? Agree?? Disagree??
Follow me on:
I like A, I like the simplicity.

My personal favorite is C, i couldn’t say why though

What a great Friday Face-off choice, Drew:). Lovely to see you back! My favourite is Cover E – I like the very creepy atmosphere created by the colour and way the grass all points to the title on the number plate. Clever, effective and eye-catching, but there isn’t a clunker among them:)

Clunker – I like it!😀 Definitely true, all really good covers for the book.
I’m back for this week, I’ve not stopped doing it completely as it’s something I really like but I also just wanted to do my own thing to (if that makes sense).

Of course – and as it’s your blog, quite right, too:).

I’d probably go for E… however, agree with B cover- I like the skulls, even though I dislike xmas and anything to do with decorations 😀

Ha, true, Xmas and decorations do kinda suck but skulls are awesome!😀

I like A for the simplicity, or maybe C. D I’m not keen on, I don’t like the face on the moon!

People seem to like cover C, I liked D but have to admit that the face on the moon is a very acquired taste! 🙂

Glad to see you jump back on this one this week. I always enjoy comparing covers. I think I actually have to give it to A though. The simple style works very well. It draws the eye right in with a solid focal point 😉

I enjoy comparing covers to but it got tiring. It’s a meme that I like and seeing the different covers for a book is cool but I got jaded trying to find a book that fits the theme each week, when it’s easy, it’s easy but when you can’t find a book it’s a nightmare! I’m still going to do it occasionally and have the themes for the next few months but I’d been doing it since April last year and needed a rest and to try and do my own thing my my 200 words or less post.😀

I can definitely appreciate the need for a change of pace! Plus I love your new feature.

Nice choice! I agree, that one is a really creepy and cool cover. I had no idea there were so many different designs for this novel’s cover as I’d only ever seen cover A before.
I actually have this book sitting on my bookshelf and it’s on my list of books to read this year! 😀

Woohoo, you’re the first person to agree with me!😀 It really is a creepy cover, there was just something creepy about the face in the moon that appealed.
I haven’t read the book either, it’s on my list to.😀

Yeah, the face on the moon is totally creepy! 😛 I’m really surprised I was the first person to agree with you on that. lol
My best friend has read it and she gave it 4/5 starts in her review of it, so that seems very promising to me since she and I usually have very similar opinions of the books we read. 🙂
I really liked Joe Hill’s writing in the Locke & Key comic series, so I look forward to checking out his writing in an actual novel.

The only work of Joe Hill I’ve read was The Fireman, book was disappointing, possibly due to the hype but he’s definitely a good writer.

Aw, that’s too bad that it wound up being a disappointment. Another one of his I want to read is Horns since I liked the movie. 🙂

Haven’t read the book or seen the movie for that, so many books and not enough time.😂

Different covers for the same book fascinate me. I am headed to London next month and I am excited to go to some book stores and see the different covers of book. I will have a hard time not buying some I am sure. Especially Harry Potter books!

Harry Potter has some wonderful covers. 🙂 Cool, I hope you enjoy London and yes, it’ll be cool to see a book store full with lots of different covers. 🙂
