Waiting on Wednesday: The Gutter Prayer by Gareth Hanrahan. #Books #Fantasy #BookBlogger #BookBloggers #Blogger #BookBlog

Waiting On Wednesday was a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine. Each Wednesday you got to highlight a book that you were really looking forward to. Unfortunately, the original creator is no longer able to host the meme and it has now linked up with Can’t Wait Wednesday over at Wishful Endings.

This week I’ve chosen:

The Gutter Prayer (The Black Iron Legacy #1) by Gareth Hanrahan.

In the ancient city of Guerdon, three thieves – an orphan, a ghoul and a cursed man – are accused of a crime they didn’t commit. Their quest for revenge exposes a perilous conspiracy, the seeds of which were sown long before they were born.

A centuries-old magical war is on the verge of reigniting and in the tunnels deep below the city, a malevolent power stirs. Only by standing together can the three friends prevent a conflict that would bring total devastation to their city – and the world beyond.

Set in a world of strange monsters, dark gods and dangerous magic, The Gutter Prayer is thrilling and visceral debut fantasy from an exciting new talent.

I saw the cover reveal for the book floating around on Twitter courtesy of one of the Orbit publicists, thought it looked like a stunning cover and my interest was piqued to find out more. After looking at the publisher website the blurb is damn enticing too and simply put, it sounds awesome!

The Gutter Prayer is published by Orbit in January 2019
